WIth some of my light fixtures I have a hard time finding differnt kinds of frames to use and I think that the bike tire chandelier is a great ide...sturcturally, it could probably hold heavy crystal components too.

Fine art collage

In a recent challenge with a co-worker to 'craft' something using a strange crystal object I found myself making a very multi-media collage. I have never really tried anything like it and I am enjoying watching it come together. I started to poke around the internet and found an artist called Nina Farana...she makes amazing collages like The Reckoning. I'll post a picture of my finished piece as soon as I am finished with it :)

The concept of magnifying light is always something that I'm interested in...I walked passed this on Ludlow Street tonight and thought it was a very creative play on the idea. A Lite Brite magnified with an old tv screen....excellent!
