Kaleidoscope
I could waste hours with this puppy
As a lifelong doodler and dabbler with all things crafty, I have decided to create a virtual treasure chest of things that inspire me, things i've made, things i'd like to make and things that i'll never make but they sure do make me happy :)
Last valentines day I was looking into the possibility of having real candy hearts made with naughty sayings...these aren't quite edible, but they sure will be fun to stick on some valentine's day cards!!
I'm not sure exactly why this Portrait Illustration Maker is so exciting to me, but it is!
This to That is a brilliant website that guides you to choosing the appropriate glue for your project....sweet (and sticky!)
With the cash that I have been pouring into my need-to-craft recently (ahem! $70 eyelet/rivet tool!) I think this site is something that I need to look more into. Hopefully I'll have some wares for sale in the next couple weeks!!
Hopefully it won't be long before I need to make some buttons of my own...2bean!
I have GOT to make some of these for Max & Calvin. Maybe rocking a dinosaur theme :)
These little hair clips are so cute...i think a little crystal could doll them up a bit. super easy gifts
My poor mini iPOd has taken a beating and I thought it was time to give it a hug...and some protection...so I whipped up this little cozy using some canvas, felt, metallic iron-on components and a crystal button...
Cramped New York City apartments often leave me dreaming of my days in Vermont...I decided to bring some nature into my home regardless of the fact that the unforgiving metropolis outside my window isn't having it.
Leave it to Martha to make these cutepaper pinwheels . They would make fun favors or even name cards for a picnic or birthday party...or a bouquest of them for a friend...I would use some funky origami paper....
Here is the latest in homemade lighting, inspired from a solid black Baccarat chandelier I saw in a window on 59th and Lex...this was created using a metal frame from a cheap (but sturdy) Chinese lantern, leftover chandelier components and some loose crystal beads & pendants. All in all, about 40 hours of effort and one beautiful and deco chandelier to show for it.
Since this will be the catalog of all the Beanly crafts from here forward I feel compelled to get this one in there. Made last February with some "junk" crystal, I made a beautiful chandelier for my dear friend Mia.
This bluebird is exactly the outline that I want to use for a flet applique onto my new cardigan...filled in with some embroidery work to detail the feathers....cute!
Here are some various projects & questions answered that I must remember. the packing tape transfers sound so interesting...I'm gonna have to try that one...
This handmade mobile by india*romeo is the most perfect baby gift that i can think of! It's just beautiful and looks easy enough to create using some high-quality paper, buttons, maybe a little crystal and a rainy day!
lekkner has got it down. This chick can work magic on old shirts and I am inspired by it...I have a few oldies but goodies that I can't bear to throw out or dust with....
I am loving these colors and this bird!!!Bluebird Mini Tote by judierock. I'd like to make a flock of them!
Just stumbled across these bags on a link from craftster.org calledAnatomy of a Skirt. Although it's a lot like my black sheep bag, I'm loving the worms and thinking they could be fun to recreate....
As a gift to myself for finishing the last semester strong, I bought myself a sewing machine....I'm not sure why I thought I would be good at sewing, but I'm not. Having said that, I forced myself to try to make Amy Butlers Covington Bag. I definitely didn't follow the many directions correctly, but I did manage to make a cute bag....
The Swarovski Voyage Chandelier is next on my list of chandeliers....clearly a smaller and less finished version...but this is something that I'd like to make using a strand of christmas lights, some pre-wired beads I happen to have lying around and some clothes hangers. I'll post the result when I get around to it...
